Kosta Outlet
Glass & shopping center in Kosta
Kosta Outlet at the edge of the small town of Kosta in the midst of the forests of southeastern Småland is more than just a typical shopping center. Kosta Outlet combines several tourist attractions in the vicinity of the famous glassworks Kosta Glasbruk.
The well-known and accordingly heavily frequented Kosta Otlet includes a large outlet center, restaurants, cafés, hotels as well as the glassworks with a factory shop, the Kosta Boda Art Gallery and the heritage museum Museet Gamla Kosta.
The outlet center has an area of approximately 20,000 square meters with about a dozen outlet stores for products from several brands. In the immediate vicinity are also two separate shops for high-quality household goods. The Kosta Outlet Hem with glass products from Orrefors Kosta Boda and other products of premium manufacturers and the Iittala Outlet with glass and ceramics from Iittala, Rörstrand, Höganäs Keramik and others.
The Kosta Boda Art Hotel, which is also part of the complex, has 204 beds and is characterized mainly by its artistic design, which make it an art exhibition. The decorations in the hotel and its rooms consist of unique artworks by Swedish glass artists and have now exceeded a value of 50 million crowns.
The Kosta Lodge is just a few minutes' drive away, offering a slightly less exclusive but more nature-orientated accommodation. With 26 rooms and 13 spacious apartments, the B&B managed complex offers a good alternative to the classic hotel accommodation, especially for families with children.
