Sölvesborgsbron

Pedestrian bridge in Sölvesborg

Sölvesborgsbron connects the city center of Sölvesborg with the district Ljungaviken on the peninsula Listerland. The Bridge over the bay of Sölvesborg was inaugurated in 2012 and is with a length of 756 meters one of the longest, maybe the longest pedestrian bridge in Europe.

Sölvesborgsbron is more than just the shortest way between the city center and the peninsula Listerland. It is the connection between urban and nature landscape which provides a route for walkers and bicycle riders to nearby nature and beaches.

There is a widened area with benches at the middle of the bridge, where you can sit and rest or just enjoy the beautiful view over the bay and the city. With its three large arches, the bridge became a landmark of Sölvesborg. It is an eyecatcher at daytime, but after dark the Sölvesborgsbron is illuminated and shines in bright colors.
