Vikens Sjöfartsmuseum was founded in 1957 and since the 1980s it is located in the former fire station, a small red shed in the port of Viken.
In the museum there are about 1,500 different exhibits to see that document the long history Vikens as a formerly important place for navigation and fishing in the region. In addition to numerous historic ship models, ancient navigation instruments, fishing equipment, tools, old documents and photos there can also be seen information about the fish species in the Öresund and about the history of shipbuilding in Viken.
