Maritime museum in Karlshamn

The small maritime museum Blekinge Sjöfartsmuseum is located in the port area of Karlshamn, in the so-called Dahlamagasinet, a former tobacco warehouse.

In the building from 1875 you can learn a lot about traditional shipping off the coast of Blekinge. The exhibition of Blekinge Sjöfartsmuseum includes the crew accommodation of a sailing ship and parts of an old retail store for marine equipment.

Also you can see the former lighting device of the lighthouse of Ortholmen, the great anchor of a British warship from the 19th century, various marine engines and lots of other items.
