Circus museum in Ingelsträde

Sveriges Cirkusmuseum, the only circus museum in Sweden, is located in the former school of Ingelsträde, about 6 kilometers southeast of Höganäs.

The exhibited collection of the circus academy in the Sveriges Cirkusmuseum shows everything that makes the heart beat of a circus enthusiasts goes faster. Props of acrobats, tightrope walkers, clowns and magicians, as trapeze, clown bicycle or juggling utensils.

Anyone interested in costumes can see an original costume of a white clown or a jacket of a tightrope walker from 1890. There are plenty of photographs and posters of fantastic and daring artists, as well as historic circus posters in a variety of styles. Furthermore, there are special exhibitions of some artists, such as juggler family Ferroni, circus director Wiktorini or clown Joe Jackson.
