Ängelholm
Tourist town at Skälderviken
Ängelholm is the main town of the municipality with the same name in north-west Skåne, about 70 kilometers north of Malmö. The city is located at the estuary of the river Rönneå and the bay Skälderviken at the Swedish west coast.
With over 23,000 inhabitants Ängelholm is by far the largest town in the municipality. In addition to the central functions as the local-capital, Ängelholm has developed into a regional center over the years. Due to the high concentration of different shops, banks, government agencies and other companies, the catchment area of Ängelholm also reaches far into the neighboring municipalities Höganäs and Båstad.
The town is very well connected. Just a few kilometers east of the city center passes the E6/E20 and the Ängelholm station is a stop on the route Malmö–Gothenburg. On the northern outskirts the airport Ängelholm-Helsingborg has connections to Stockholm and Gotland, but also to Alicante or charter flights to other southern regions.
