Malmö Museum
Museum of Natural History in Malmö
The Malmö Museum and the Malmö art museum are located in the beautiful Malmöhus castle, the oldest preserved Renaissance castle in Scandinavia.
The Malmö Museum features exhibits relating to the history of the castle and the city of Malmö. Among these for example is an exhibition that reports about the skånish war and the final fall of Skåne towards Sweden. The large archaeological collection displays artifacts from the province of Skåne, which shows the historical evolution and the lives of people in the region from the Ice Age to the Middle Ages.
The most precious exhibit of the museum is the old organ from S:t Petri Kyrka. This organ was built in 1531 and is one of the oldest functioning church organs in the world.
